1.32 model tractors
My transaxel has locked up on my model 250520 tractor. The manual says not to service it. It is 13 years old.?
When I jack the tractor up, the rear wheels will turn opposite of each other, but when the tractors is on a solid surface, the wheels will not turn. I noticed a greenish stain in the snow when I was clearing the yard. The main drive belt heated up and snapped. According to the manual, the transaxel is sealed and does not need serving ever, although there is a filter.
sounds like the pinion bearing my have gone out. you will need to see if you can get parts for this and if the cost of a rebuild is less than a new axle.
