After a long wait finally, the American Auto biggie General Motors has launched its most anticipated hatchback Chevrolet Beat Diesel in India. The Chevrolet Beat Diesel launch was held at the Ballroom of Hotel Taj Landsend, Bandra in Mumbai. The Indian car buyers have been very curious and inquisitive about the performance of this new Chevrolet Beat Diesel. Since the country is facing a regular petrol price hike this diesel variant by General Motors is likely to provide with some relief. Chevrolet Beat Diesel price in India starts at Rs 4.29 lakh.
Earlier there were two variants of Chevrolet Beat available in the Indian market viz: Chevrolet Beat petrol and Chevrolet Beat LPG. Now, the company has added a new member to its Chevrolet Beat family, Chevrolet Beat Deisel. With the launch of new diesel variant at an affordable price GM is looking very aggressive to capture the hatchback market.Talking about the price strategy of GM, the auto biggie has released the hatchback with a very reasonable and competitive price tag. The Chevrolet Beat Diesel price starts from Rs 4.29 lakh (ex showroom Delhi) for the Chevrolet Beat Diesel PS variant which is a low end one, Rs 4.59 lakh for Chevrolet Beat LS which is a middle level variant and Rs 4.99 lakhs for Chevrolet Beat Diesel LT which is a high end product. Whereas, Chevrolet Beat Diesel LT Option Pack with ABS and high end features is available at Rs 5.45 lakhs.
As far as features are concerned, the new Chevrolet Beat Diesel features a more comfortable and spacious interior with enough leg space in front and rear. The new Beat Diesel is powered by a 936cc XSDE SMARTECH 3 cylinder Diesel engine which is capable to offer a fuel efficiency of 24 Kmpl as per ARAI. The other features of this new hatchback are same as of its petrol variant. General Motors is manufacturing this diesel variant at its Talegaon plant. The customers will be benefited with a 3 years warranty or a 1 lakh kilometer free maintenance, as per the interest of the buyer.
Chevrolet Beat is the one of the most popular hatchback in India as the hatchback has achieved the sales figure of 1.1 lakh cars in the last financial year. Now this time GM is looking to play the same tune of success with its new Chevrolet Beat Diesel. The company is expecting to reach at least the sales figure of 1.4 lakh with its new hatchback.
